Seven cheetah cubs in a litter in the wild must be a record, or what? The image shows Siligi, the famous cheetah mum in Maasai Mara, photographed in December 2019 with her seven cute kittens.

The largest cheetah litter recorded in captivity was eight at St. Louis Zoo in Missouri, U.S., in 2018.

Photo credit: YS Wildlife PhotographyMeet Imani the cheetah.
When we met her, she was leading four little playful cubs while trying to avoid lions, hyenas and humans, and she did it in a very skillful way.
You can see it in her amber eyes how every step is calculated, and how she's concentrating on where it is safe to go.
Moments after I took this shot, she got into a fight with a lioness that tried to kill her cubs. It was quite amazing to see the size difference between the two cats, and watch how Imani charged at the lioness. I will share pictures from that encounter later on.
Hope your week is going great!
Taken thanks to a great positioning by our amazing guide John Siololo while staying at Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp - Maasai Mara, Kenya, 12/2020.
