Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp is an eco safari camp located in Maasai Mara in Kenya, made for professional wildlife photographers and nature photo enthusiasts. The camp is located in Oltepesi Village, a genuine Maasai village about five minutes from the border to Maasai Mara National Reserve. With this unique location, you will also experience the Maasai people’s traditional and famous culture. Accommodation is offered in spacious safari tents with ensuite bathrooms including shower, washbasin and flush toilet. There are solar panel lights in the tents. There is a separate dining tent where our chef and camp staff will serve you safe and delicious food. You can also charge camera batteries, phones and computers in the dining tent. Outside is a bonfire where you can relax with a cold drink in the evening before dinner.

Staying in a village like this instead of an ordinary tourist lodge will give you a unique chance to get to know the proud Maasai people and their culture from the inside. Their hospitality is excellent. Upon arrival, the children come running, welcoming you – Jambo! You can also experience BBQ in the authentic Maasai way, and if you like, you can spend a night in a traditional Maasai house. Finally, you can feel at home in the village and photograph and film as much as you like without asking permission first.
